Tie The Knot-Looking Your Best In A Custom-Tailored Suit!
The couture is perhaps the most hyped part of a wedding. There are a number of customizations, along
with several custom-fitting trials for the bride’s trousseau, to make her look just out of a page from a
fairy tale, but what about the groom’s suit? Even though it looks way simpler than the bride’s and not a
month-long custom fitting trial sessions for their wedding suit are involved.
There are a few unsaid rules that have to be kept in mind while making the choice of wedding suits for the groom.
- Outshining your bride is a big No-No!
Mostly men go for the tux in classic black for their big day, but before you make the final choice, you do
need to check with your bride about her dress. In case, she prefers to keep it a little casual with a less
flowy shorter dress, then yours can be a casual suit in dark grey or blue instead of a black tux. In no way,
you are likely to steal the limelight from your bride.
- Sync with your favorite boys but a distinct shine on you
There has to be quite a good sync in your suit and that of your groomsmen’s. You may choose to get a
similar bow tie as your groomsmen, or you may choose to go with a similar hair-do as them. No matter
how you choose your look, you need to stand out when you enter the venue along with your
groomsmen. So make it a prudent choice with your suit.
- The most important thing is the fit
You just cannot afford to be careless with this one thing, the fit of your wedding suit. For a free
movement around the venue and the dance floor, and yet a perfect fitting, your wedding suit needs to
be custom tailored. Your jacket sleeves’ hemline should be so tailored that about a half-inch of your
shirt’s cuff gets a good visibility while your jacket length should be such that it covers the butt. The collar
of your suit is the next. It has to be laid flat around your neck and at the back, without bulges or gaps.
Your bow tie adds to the perfection only when it snugly fits around your shirt collar. Your trousers
should be so fitted that apart from making for a sleek look, it has to be good enough for you to sit, walk
and dance around with ease.
- The accessories can be well coordinated with the groomsmen
Once you are done with the choice of your suit, comes the turn for the accessories. While you stand out
among the groomsmen, you can colour coordinate your accessories with them. It should ideally be a
dual colour palette for the big day. The colour you choose to don, your groomsmen have to go with the
other one. The socks can be in dual colour stripes for the groomsmen; you may choose to go with any of
the two colours for your socks.
